1. Admission

With my first post I’d like to indicate that my intentions with this blog is to record my thoughts and enhance my writing abilities. I’d like to keep this blog somewhat self reflective and introspective without entering “manifesto territory”, thus going off the deep end. In these posts I shall tell stories, share thoughts, and I guarantee there will be some drunken ramblings. I don’t expect to maintain a strict post schedule. They may be weekly, bi-weekly, or hourly depending on my rum intake. 

I’d also like to introduce myself after that syllabus esque introduction. I’m a 19 year old white male in my second year of college. I’m a double major in English and Secondary Education at an east coast state school. I’m a unique combination of a bookworm introvert and a frat boy extrovert. I spend most of my time watching movies and wishes I was reading books instead. My music taste drifts from the Wu-Tang Clan to Simon & Garfunkel. I have no specific favorite genre, I just have the utmost disdain for country. My favorite art form is stand up comedy. I have yet to find a courage to perform nor the space to do so. I constantly listen to and view the stand up form. These are the basics about me and I’m sure you’ll get to know me better over time. I hope I follow through with this. ~RH
